Overview

This 2 day workshop will qualify you as a Mental Health First Aider, equipping you with the skills to assist colleagues, employees, friends or family who may be suffering with mental health issues.

Within businesses, schools or charities, a Mental Health First Aider can complement existing First Aid officers to provide another level of support and to identify and assist when a team member may be suffering from mental health issues.

During the workshop, you will develop:

  • An in depth understanding of mental health and factors that can affect well-being
  • Practical Skills to spot the triggers and signs of mental health
  • Confidence to step in and support a person in distress
  • Enhanced interpersonal skills such as non-judgemental listening
  • Knowledge to help someone recover their health by guiding them to further support

A certificate and manual will be issued on completion of the course

Workshops are held over two, non-consecutive days.
