Materials required: Sewing Machine (cable and foot) Embroidery/darning/open toe foot Basic Sewing kit Black (dark) thread (polyester will be fine) Scraps of various cotton fabricsAll background and associate pieces for the two fabric pieces will be included in a starter kit will be provided on the day by your tutor. Please Note: If you are unable to drop your feed dogs on your machine then you should have a small square flat plastic cover for them in with the kit that came with your machine. If you do not have this then please bring along some sticky tape and a piece of semi hard plastic i.e. a butter carton lid or something similar. This will then enable you to do free motion with your machines.

The morning will consist with practicing without fabric and after some time in controlling the machine you will move onto a controlled piece using fabric and all will create the same piece of embroidery. After the lunch break you will be left to your own design or you can repeat the earlier design if desired

This course is delivered through practicals, handouts, discussion by an experienced tutor. The course is only being delivered in the classroom. · Learning is bespoke and tailored to students’ individual needs so will cover all styles of learning. Students may form friendships and camaraderie amongst their learning group as the subject matters discussed are so personal. The course is made up of 6 x 2 hours sessions over six weeks.

Progression
After this course, students will be able to attend further courses on helping people and themselves heal. On completion of the course you will have discovered new found interests and many previous students have gone on to further courses on reiki for example. Students will feel more confident in their approach to life and how to heal by themselves.
