Channel Training has worked in partnership with SS&L for several years to provide accessible and engaging learning opportunities in the outdoors. First Aid, Personal and Team Development, Outdoor Activities and Skills Courses are all delivered in a high quality learner-centred package. This collaboration has produced life changing outcomes for hundreds of adults in Somerset. We feel very fortunate to be involved with SS&L and look forward to growing our offer together in the region.
Compass Disability Services
Compass Disability Services has been supported by SS&L to provide training for unpaid carers in Somerset and individual employers who employ their own paid personal assistants. Having additional funding has enabled us to ensure that this training continues to be organised at a range of locations across Somerset and encourages people to learn together who might otherwise struggle on in isolation. In addition to funding, SS&L has provided guidance and suggestions on how to promote the training and consider the best ways to achieve learning outcomes.
In Charley's Memory
Mean Feet Dance
Neroche Woodlanders are very pleased to work with SS&L on the Wild Learning project. The positive working relationships have enabled us to develop great courses at Young Wood for disadvantaged adults, and to extend our knowledge, ideas and expertise.
Pre-School Learning Alliance
It is vital for community based initiatives that they find support at a formative stage, and Polish Voice is a case in point; it would simply not have got off the ground without Somerset Skills and Learning's input. The seed funding has got the ball rolling, and Sally's expertise and support proving invaluable.
